LaShaun started her career writing for college newspapers where she found a passion for print, broadcast, and electronic media. She served as director and producer of Mountain View, Calif.-based Cable Access Channel series, Folks Are Talking, for two years, and later co-founded Pivotal Magazine, an urban lifestyle magazine in Chicago, where she also served as creative director and feature writer. While at Pivotal, LaShaun learned about entrepreneurship and the pains of writing a business plan. She later held the position of copywriter for market research firm Compass Intelligence, and manager at Eyesoda.com, an online streaming theater for independent movies. LaShaun currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona. She prefers quails to cats, and enjoys collecting enough profoundly funny comedic material for her five-minute stand-up debut, spinning to deep house music, reading about psychology, and learning how to properly use a comma.
